Ontario roads and your tires
Three freeways
The 10 and the 60 cross Ontario east to west and the 15 runs along its east side. Long freeway stretches are where a slight imbalance turns into a shake you notice at 65.
Freight country
Ontario International Airport is a major cargo hub, and warehouses line much of the city. Heavy traffic means debris, and sooner or later a nail or a screw finds a tread.
Hot summers
Ontario averages about 94°F in July and 95°F in August, and the airport has recorded 110°F and higher. Underinflated tires run hotter. Check pressure cold, before you drive.
Euclid Avenue
Euclid is State Route 83, the wide divided boulevard that runs north through Ontario into Upland. Lots of lights and lots of turning.
What Ontario drivers book
- Flat tire repairPicked up a nail on the 10 or the 60? Most tread punctures can be repaired properly from the inside.
- Road force balancingFor a highway-speed vibration that a standard balance didn't fix.
- TPMS serviceA pressure light on a hot afternoon usually means a tire was low that morning. We'll find out why.
