How to read your tire size
- Width:
- Section width in millimeters
- Aspect ratio:
- Sidewall height as a percent of width
- Construction:
- R for radial
- Rim:
- Wheel diameter in inches
- Load index:
- 102 = 1,874 lb per tire
- Speed rating:
- H = 130 mph
The size is molded into the sidewall. The same numbers are on the tire placard inside the driver's door, along with the right air pressure for your car.
Match the size, load index and speed rating your vehicle calls for. Going lower on load or speed isn't a shortcut worth taking.
Which kind of tire
01
All-season
Most cars, crossovers and minivans
Quiet, long-wearing, decent in the rain. The default for commuting on the 10 and the 60, and the right call for most drivers here.
02
Highway all-season
SUVs and pickups that live on pavement
Built for highway miles on bigger vehicles. Smoother and quieter than an all-terrain, with a longer tread life.
03
All-terrain
Trucks and SUVs that leave the pavement
Chunkier tread for dirt roads, desert trips and job sites. Louder on the freeway and usually shorter-lived. Worth it if you actually use it.
04
Performance
Sport sedans and coupes
Sharper steering and more dry grip. Softer compounds that wear faster, and they don't love cold, wet mornings.
05
Light truck (LT)
Heavy-duty pickups, towing and hauling
Stiffer construction and higher load ratings. If your door placard calls for LT tires, don't swap to passenger tires to save money.
06
Snow-rated
Mountain trips to Baldy, Wrightwood or Big Bear
Look for the three-peak mountain snowflake symbol. Some all-weather tires carry it. Chains may still be required when controls are up.

Can I bring tires I bought online?
Yes. Book mount and balance and tell us the size and quantity.
Do you sell used tires?
