American Racing wheels in Montclair
American Racing dates to 1956, when drag racer Romeo Palamides founded it and pioneered magnesium aftermarket wheels. Its Torq Thrust, introduced in 1963, is still the five-spoke most people picture on a classic American car.

About American Racing
The lineup is built around hot rods, classic and muscle cars, modern Mustangs and 5 and 6-lug trucks. American Racing sorts it by construction: flow formed, cast, cast centers with forged barrels, and two-piece forged.
The Torq Thrust family covers most classic builds. The Torq Thrust II 1 PC is a one-piece cast version of the two-piece Torq Thrust II, sized from 14 to 22 inches, and American Racing names Tri-Five Chevys, first-gen Camaros, '64 to '72 Chevelles, classic Mustangs, GTOs and C10 trucks as fits.
At the top is the VF series, two-piece forged wheels. American Racing says its forged line is 100% made in the USA from 6061 forged aluminum and built to order by size, fitment and finish.
Classic and muscle car owners, Mustang drivers and street truck builders who want a period-correct or pro-touring look on the right fitment.

- Mounted and balanced here, lugs torqued to the wheel maker's number
