About Coker
Harold Coker opened the business in 1958 as a tire and service center and moved it to Chattanooga in 1960. His son Corky built the antique-tire side over the next four decades until it became the whole company. In 2018 the family sold Coker Group to Irving Place Capital, with the existing management team staying in charge.
What makes Coker different is the molds. The company sources discontinued tire molds, or has new ones cut from original drawings, and runs them with modern compounds and construction. Whitewalls, redlines and goldlines are built into the tire rather than added afterward. The result looks right on a 1950s Cadillac or a 1930s Ford while riding better than the originals did.
This is not a daily-driver brand and it is not priced like one. If you own a restored or custom classic and want the correct look, Coker is the catalog. If you just need whitewalls on a modern car, Vogue is the closer fit.
Classic and collector car owners across the Inland Empire who need period-correct tires mounted carefully on original or wire wheels.

Coker questions
Who makes Coker tires?
Coker Tire of Chattanooga, Tennessee, part of Coker Group. The company holds manufacturing rights from Firestone, BFGoodrich and U.S. Royal and builds those tires, plus its own Coker Classic, American Classic and Excelsior lines, using original or re-created molds with modern materials.
Should I run bias ply or radial on my classic?
Coker's own guidance is that bias ply gives the softer, period-correct ride and look, while radials and bias-look radials track straighter and wear better at highway speed. If the car gets driven more than it gets shown, a bias-look radial is the usual answer. We can order the size and sidewall you need.
