Pro Comp tires in Montclair
Pro Comp is an off-road parts brand that dates to 1985 and is best known for lift kits and wheels. Its tire line is two light-truck tires: the Xtreme MT2 mud-terrain and the A/T Sport all-terrain.
Hoonigan (formerly Wheel Pros), through Transamerican Auto Parts of Compton, California. Pro Comp USA operates from Ogden, Utah.

Mounted, balanced and installed on Moreno Street.
About Pro Comp
Pro Comp belongs to Transamerican Auto Parts, the Compton company behind the 4 Wheel Parts stores. Polaris agreed to sell Transamerican to Wheel Pros in 2022, and Wheel Pros renamed itself Hoonigan in late 2023. Pro Comp's own site now says the mark is a registered trademark of Hoonigan. Tires were always a side line next to suspension and wheels.
Be straight about where the tires stand. procompusa.com currently sells suspension, wheels and lighting, and no longer has a tire catalog. The Xtreme MT2 was promoted with a 40,000-mile limited treadwear warranty and the A/T Sport with 60,000 miles, both at the time Pro Comp published them. Some national retailers have stopped carrying the A/T Sport. Ask us what sizes we can still get before you plan a build around either tire.
Against the brands that are still growing their truck lines, Pro Comp compares to Dick Cepek or an older Mickey Thompson catalog: aggressive tread, 3-ply sidewall on the MT2, and 33 to 37 inch fitments for lifted Jeeps and full-size trucks.
Jeep and lifted-truck owners around Montclair who already run Pro Comp suspension or wheels and want a matching tire, in whichever sizes are still available.

Pro Comp questions
Who makes Pro Comp tires?
Pro Comp is a brand of Transamerican Auto Parts, the Compton, California company that also runs 4 Wheel Parts. Transamerican was sold by Polaris to Wheel Pros in 2022, and Wheel Pros became Hoonigan in 2023. Pro Comp's site states the mark is a registered trademark of Hoonigan. The tires are made for Pro Comp by contract factories the brand does not name on its site.
Are Pro Comp tires still made?
Pro Comp's own website no longer lists tires, only suspension, wheels and lighting, and at least one national retailer has dropped the A/T Sport. We will tell you which Xtreme MT2 and A/T Sport sizes are still orderable before you commit to either.
